Whether its a cherry red Ferrari, a tricked out off roading Jeep or things like yachts, watches, home entertainment systems… we all drool and lust for these things whether we can afford them or not.
In a world full of machinists and engineers, everyone with an idea on how to make a Glock slide look better is having at it. Some have great success at improving the aesthetics, some remove material for weight reduction. There are others that mill out material for red dot mounts, those that can actually adjust how the weapon even translates recoil to the shooter.

Overall the LH9 was impressive. It outperformed my expectations in every way. Between the safety features, the lightweight frame, and the extremely tight tolerances on this pistol, it is on it’s way to becoming my new CCW.
The XD(M) 5.25 from Springfield Armory is a polymer framed, Melonite coated slide with enhanced sights, machining and feature with the competitive shooter in mind. This was my first time ever handling any type of competition type pistol and it gave me a lot more insight to my abilities.

Welcome to the “competition” pistol known as the XDM 5.25. I got to shoot one at SHOT, and despite my disdain for the grip safety that Springfield armory employs, I was actually really impressed. Couple that with Superbowl’s love for his XDS, make it a 9mm with a massive magazine capacity and you have my ears perked.
